WARRANT OF ARREST NOTICE, CITATION OR TICKET INFORMATION -- The Sheriffs Court Services Division does not have any record or information concerning tickets or citations.  Questions regarding these matters should be directed to the court of jurisdiction (San Diego Superior Court).

The Warrant of Arrest Notice issued by the court contains information on your warrant and how to take care of it.  The information contained in this notice is the same information we have on file.  No further information is available from our office.  The Sheriff's Department does maintain an online query of our warrant database.

The appearance times and location of the court will appear on your citation or on the Warrant of Arrest Notice.  Appearance times vary by court.

BAIL POSTING INFORMATION -- You can pay the bail on your warrant by personal check or money order. Make your check or money order payable to the "Clerk of the Court" and mail to the address on your notice or the Sheriffs Department, Court Services Division at P. O. Box 85306, San Diego, CA 92186-5306, Attention: Warrant Division.  If your notice indicates "mandatory appearance", you must appear in court at the times listed in your notice.  You may pay the bail prior to your appearance in order to recall the warrant.  However, you must appear in court within 10 days of the date of appearance.  More exact details will be provided to you if you post bail.

If you want to post cash bail, you must make your payment at the court location on your notice or at the San Diego Courthouse located at 220 West Broadway, San Diego between the hours of 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M.

WARRANT APPEARANCE TIMES (check court website for the most accurate information):

San Diego -- The San Diego Courthouse is located at 220 W. Broadway, San Diego. Warrant appearance times vary by department but most check-in times are Monday through Friday at 8:00 A.M. Upon arrival, check at the information Counter in the main lobby or go to the 2nd floor Superior Court Clerk's Office.

The San Diego Superior Family Law Court is located at 1501 6th Avenue, San Diego. Warrant Appearance times for all departments are Monday through Thursday at 8:30 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. except for Department F-5 (Probate) which are Mondays at 1:30 P.M. Upon arrival, check in with the clerk's office.

Traffic Court -- Traffic Court is located at 8950 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Warrant appearance times for 23152's (Driving Under the Influence) are Monday through Friday at 8:00 A.M. Appearance times for 14601 (Driving with a Suspended or Revoked License) and for three or more warrants are Monday through Friday at 12:30 P.M. One or two outstanding warrants appear Monday through Friday at 8:00, 10:30, 1:00 and 5:00. Upon arrival, check in with the clerk's office. South Bay -- The South Bay Courthouse is located at 500 Third Avenue, Chula Vista. Warrant appearance times on a Failure to Appear or misdemeanor warrants are Monday through Thursday at 8:00 A.M. Felony appearance times are Monday through Friday at 12:30 P.M. and 23152's (Driving Under the Influence) are Friday at 8:00 A.M. Upon arrival, check in with the clerk's office on the second floor.

El Cajon -- The El Cajon Courthouse is located at 250 East Main, El Cajon. Warrant appearance times are Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. and again from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. Upon arrival, check in at Business Office East, located on the first floor.

Ramona -- The Ramona branch of the El Cajon Court is located at 1428 Montecito Road, Ramona. Warrant appearance times are Friday at 8:00 A.M.

Vista --The Vista Courthouse is located at 325 South Melrose Drive, Vista. Warrant appearance times for felonies and misdemeanors are Monday through Friday at 7:30 A.M. Upon arrival, check in with the clerk's office.

At most courthouse entrances you will encounter weapons screening very similar to that now in place at most airports. Signs are posted directing you to the appropriate entrance. You will be asked to walk through a metal detector and your hand carried bags, valises or parcels will be x-rayed, or hand-searched where x-ray is not available. These devices are harmless and represent no health hazard. You may be requested to remove your shoes, belts or other articles, including items in your pockets.  The purpose of the screening is to prevent restricted weapons or contraband from being brought into the courthouse.  We suggest that you not bring unusual items with you as it may slow your entry into the courthouse.

Knives with a locking blade or any blade more than three inches will not be permitted in the courthouse. Stun guns, mace or other caustic materials are also prohibited. Such items will not be allowed in the court house even if you are licensed to carry them. Illegal drugs and alcoholic beverages are also excluded.  We are not able to hold items for safekeeping.
